When American Express took over the business travel divisions
of BBL Travel, we also took over the people and the know-how.
And since BBL Travel was very focused on the BeLux SME-companies,
we still benefit of the experience built up in the last decades.
In fact, we never stopped servicing the SME-clients, and
ExpressOne is launched as a new service platform which
pulls together services we have been offering for a long time.
Despite its size (over 1,700 offices in more than 120 countries),
locally American Express remains very much a BeLux operation
with an eye for the needs of our local clients.
If anything, our international size is a big help, because
it allows us to negotiate prices with airlines, car suppliers
and hotels, that would otherwise not be available to us.
And if a client ever runs into difficulties in an exotic location,
it is always comforting to know that there is an American
Express office nearby to offer assistance.
